Warrior Dash

Today was one one awesomely, crazy kind of day-
We swerved around tires, shimmied over barricades, swam over logs, ran in tons of mud [with lots of hills], crab crawled across rope nets, maneuvered up a cargo net, climbed over walls, walked the plank, mud crawled under barbwires, and jumped over fire.
Can it get anymore hardcore than that? 
I think not.





If you're planning on doing the Warrior Dash in your area, here are a few suggestions-
{Or suggestions for WHEN you do it next year, which you should!}
  1. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty {and when I say dirty, I mean borderline ruining}
  2. Drink LOTS of water, especially if you're doing the run mid-day {Yeah, I didn't do that one, and I definitely paid for it}
  3. Bring sunscreen, a plastic bag for dirty shoes & clothes, and a towel
  4. Wear a crazy outfit- It's more of an option, but it was so fun watching warriors, superheros, zebras, and other crazy costumes go by- we went with an 80's them and we have a lot of sweet ideas for next year!
  5. Bring money with you- this way you can by tickets for food and anything else you may want- when you board the shuttle to the battleground, it's a nuisance to try to go back for your things
  6. Bring a friend who isn't running or may be running later- this makes it easy carrying bags and other various items and it's nice not having to worry about checking bags, plus they help you get some pretty sweet pics! Thank you so much Donald & Scott {Scott ran @ 2 instead of 12}
  7. Bring baby wipes {This one is for you Meg- helps get the dirt out of your nose}
  8. Don't take things too seriously- enjoy the awesome experience!

Your muddy, old shoes could even get donated to GreenSneakers

    I can't wait until time time around!! HOLY SMOKES!! :)

    and yes ... baby wipes are a MUST for next year! Because that mud does not come out of your nose easily!! HAHA!! GROSS!
