Like my little flower headband?
The flowers are totally DIY-
& They were so easy to make!

Have you ever wondered what to do with your sleeves when you make one of your old t-shirts into a cutoff?
Well my little darlings, here is what you do--

What You'll Need:
  • Cut off shirt sleeves
  • Needle & Thread
  • Something to mark the fabric {Preferably a chalk marker, or in my case, a permanent marker}
  • Scissors
1. Find random things around your home to draw circles onto the sleeve
{Like a candle or suntan oil}
it all depends on what size you want your flowers to be

2. Sew a basting stitch around the outer edge of the circle
{Obviously, the stitching doesn't have to be perfect}

3. When you make it back to the beginning of the stitch, simply pull thread away from flower to make it gather

4. Flatten the flower out so that the gathered around lies in the center and simply stitch around the center to keep the flower in tact

5. Finally, add the flower to your accessory of choice- I chose an old headband
{you could add it to a skirt, shirt, backpack, bobby pin, etc and so forth}

Easy Breezy.

  1. so cute!!! I'll see your bitty flower how-to with one of mine... take that circle of fabric and cut a spiral into it. then grab the middle and start twisting until the fabric kinda rolls into a rose-like-shape. secure with a little hot glue or a few quick stitches on the bottom. alternate with your cutie flower types on a new headband :)

    I'll send you a link when I get one done! :)
