French Toast Casserole

Last night the Hopewells did brinner.
If you know us, you know we love eating breakfast foods for dinner ... we absolutely love it!
So last night I wanted to try something different and came up with this recipe,
Needless to say, it was DELICIOUS:

FRENCH TOAST CASSEROLE
Here's what you'll need:
  • 5 Cups of Bread, Cubed
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Milk
  • 2 TBSP of White Sugar
  • 1/4 TSP of Salt
  • 1 TSP of Vanilla
  • 1 TBSP of Butter {softened}
  • Cinnamon Sugar
  • Syrup
Preheat oven to 350
In a greased 8x10 pan, pour in your cubed bread

Mix together your eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a separate bowl
Pour mixture over Bread Cubes
Cut up pieces of your butter and place over-top the bread cubes. Sprinkle pan with Cinnamon Sugar.
**[The original recipe suggested letting your pan sit for 10 minutes before placing the pan in the oven. I, however, skipped this step and just placed the pan directly in the oven. The result made the bottom of the pan a little spongy and the top of the pan nice & crisp. We loved it.]
Bake casserole for 45-50.
Once the casserole is complete serve with maple syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, or whatever you enjoy on your French Toast.
Enjoy!

{Jake said this ended up tasting like a mixture between Monkey Bread & French Toast}
{I say YUM}
