Make Your Own Crackers

I've been on an adventure to find recipes for everyday items to replace the things I tend to buy from the store on a regular basis. I've also been going through this struggle about trying to figure out what exact ingredients and other items are going into my food, and I've been attempting to be more health conscious when it comes to the things I'm putting into my body.
I came across a cracker recipe on Finding Joy in my Kitchen and decided to give it a try.
Guys,
It.Was.Amazing.
When I brought them up to D, he said "You made those?!"
{I don't know whether that was to be taken as an insult or flattery but nonetheless he was impressed}

What You'll Need:

2 Cups of Flour {You can use a combination of wheat & white depending on your preference}
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2/3 Cup water
1 Cup extra sharp cheddar cheese {Make sure it's at room temperature}
sea salt or any other desired flavors  {for garnish}

Preheat oven to 375.
Combine ingredients and knead dough.
Roll out dough-
I roll it out on wax paper to make an easy transition onto a greased baking sheet but if you have a flat baking sheet, you can directly roll dough onto the sheet.
Make sure the dough is spread thin. If it's too thick it will make the cracker more chewy than crispy.
{You may have to split the dough into 2-3 separate balls before rolling out dough}
Once the dough is spread out on the baking sheet, cut into squares with a pizza cutter.
Add your favorite toppings- Chives, Seasonings, Sea Salt (press into crackers), etc.
Prick squares with a fork {I forgot to do this last time but it will help keep the crackers crisp}
Bake for 15-20 or until lightly brown.
Make sure to keep an eye on the crackers because they cook quickly. I set the timer for 5 minute increments to keep an eye on the crackers and to avoid burning them.
{Some of the crackers around the edges may cook quickly, take them off the pan and put the crackers back in to bake a few minutes longer}
Store in a air tight container.

    1. I actually tried that it was incredible! I added a little olive oil to the top to keep the seasoning on the cracker and rubbed it in :)
