The Butcher & The Cottage by the Lake *NY Part IV*

On our way out of Corning towards Wilson, NY, my mom insisted that we stop at a place she saw on the Food Channel for some of the best carving beef on weck.
Obviously, I wasn't super excited about all of this since I haven't ate meat in ohhhh about 3 years,
But the rest of the family LOVED it & Charlie the Butcher totally lived up to it's name by their standards.
I was equally happy with my little side dishes of creamed cucumbers, Pasta Salad, & Sweet Potato Fries {Those fries were the bomb diggity}
Then we ventured over to our little cottage located by Lake Ontario:

This little place was so adorable & my mom was much more excited about staying here than when we were on our little RV expedition.
She & Ash decided they would live here all year long & write books...
That is until Ashley realized New York winters are much worse than Ohio winters.
Oh well.
We at least enjoyed our time here & even got to see the end of a gorgeous sunset on the last night:

  1. Isn't New York beautiful? This isn't the New York that they portray in movies; so many people think it just consists of a concrete jungle. Travis and I lived in Somers (Westchester), and it felt like living in North Carolina! That is, as you mentioned, until winter hit... and OF COURSE we happened to live there during the coldest/snowiest winter they had had in a long time. Needless to say, it was quite an adjustment to go straight from FL to NY! =D Sounds like you all are having a great time! Beautiful photos!
